TORONTO – Today, local community activist Kingsley Kwok registered to run for Toronto City Council in the upcoming Ward 42 (Scarborough-Rouge River) by-election.
Kingsley and his wife live in Malvern with their son. “As a proud father and husband, I believe it is time for me to give back to Toronto and Canada which I love, and to ensure they remain the best place to live and raise a family.” said Kingsley.
A hospital-based registered respiratory therapist in Scarborough, Kingsley has been a local community activist with the Scarborough Health Coalition, Scarborough Transit Action and the Chinese Workers Network (co-chair). He was also the chairperson of his son’s school council and a parent representative on the school board French advisory committee, as well as the vice president of his condominium board.
